Robert Weide receives the DGA award for comedy direction for "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Weide returns to Season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm to direct his 28th episode of the series, "Never Wait For Seconds!" Weide was the Principal Director and Executive Producer of "Curb" for the first five seasons, and directed the original one-hour special upon which the series was based. During that time, he received a Golden Globe award, an AFI Award, nine Emmy award nominations (winning "Best Comedy Direction" for his episode "Krazee-Eyez Killa"), a DGA (Directors Guild of America) Award nomination for "The Carpool Lane," and a DGA win for comedy direction for "Palestinian Chicken" — one of the most lauded episodes of the entire series. Weide has been equally rewarded for his documentary work, which has focussed primarily on American comedians and humorists. He has received five Emmy nominations for his documentaries, winning twice, for W.C. Fields Straight Up and Lenny Bruce: Swear to Tell the Truth, which also received an Oscar nomination for best feature documentary. His latest documentary, Kurt Vonnegut: Unstuck in Time will be released in 2018.
